PROGRAM DESCRIPTION  I  DESCRIPTION DU PROGRAMME

Ce programme suit les programmes officiels de l’Education Nationale. Il est enseigné par des professeurs certifiés et agrégés de l’Education Nationale. Les méthodes actives, créatives, et accélérées d’Open Mind sont appliquées. Un examen est donné à la fin de chaque mois.

We are following the official French curriculum. Our classes are taught by certified teachers and members of “éducation nationale”. We apply active, creative, and accelerated teaching methods of Open Mind.

PROGRAMME Janvier- Mars 2021

Il s’agira de lire et d’analyser candide de Voltaire  (wikisource), la nuit des temps de Barjavel, et si c’est un homme de Primo Levi. Ce sera l’occasion de revoir les méthodes pour lire et analyser le conte philosophique, le récit de science fiction, et le récit autobiographique, de connaître les caractéristiques des courants littéraires comme l’humanisme et les lumières. Les élèves seront amenés à produire des écrits créatifs. Nous reverrons également les natures et fonctions grammaticales, les temps et leurs valeurs, les figures de style, les procédés de la satire, les modalisateurs, les propositions subordonnées, les paroles rapportées.

PROGRAM January - March 2021

Students will be reading and analysing Candid by Voltaire, the mists of time by Barjavelli, and If it is a man by Primo Levi. The class will provide an opportunity for students to review the methods of reading and analysing the philosophical tale, the science fiction stories as well as autobiographical story. Through analysis they will be able to further develop the knowledge  about literary currents such as humanism and the enlightenment. Students will be asked to produce creative writing as well as to review grammatical natures and functions, tenses and their values, figures of speech, satire procedures, modifiers, subordinate clauses.
